The grant will cover access to leading edge technologies and solutions designed by Economic Mobility Systems (EMS) on equity platforms like Salesforce and GreenLight Credentials. EMS Solutions will enable local high schools to case manage each student to ensure they are completing the steps for entry to college programs aligned to living wage jobs.

GreenLight Credentials, a record-sharing platform that allows students throughout the Panhandle to share education records with anyone they choose by using an app on their phones.

Texas Woman’s University formed a consortium of institutions in North Texas that will all use a shared platform to store students’ educational records and allow students to share those records with other institutions and employers.

Kutty compares the tech for academic data to a verified LinkedIn: From transcripts to recommendation letters, records are written into a student’s “electronic locker” by the institution that awarded the credentials.

National University in California has partnered with GreenLight Credentials to create blockchain-secured digital student transcripts that can be shared with other educational institutions or prospective employers.

Greenlight Credentials enables north Texas learners to develop a blockchain “life transcript” that represents the certified and verified skills and competencies earned.

John Bear, in his book “Degree Mills: The Billion-Dollar Industry That Has Sold Over a Million Fake Diplomas” - something like “Education mills: The billionaire industry that has sold more million fake degrees ”- showed that half of the PhD degrees in the USA were pure lies.

Students can dynamically create their learner records from other types of academic records such as the traditional transcripts, open badges, certificates, certifications, recommendation letters, evidence of projects, etc.

The capabilities of VitalSign6 were developed by the Center for Depression Research and Clinical Care of UT Southwestern Medical School, under the leadership of Dr. Madhukar Trivedi. Over 60,000 persons in various community and primary care settings have been screened using VitalSign6, with a dramatic decrease in patients suffering repeat episodes of depression.

"To have this program in place to help students continue their journey has been a game changer," Dr. Brown continued. "The motivation for us was to not let our students fall through the cracks. This was an opportunity for us to help them across that bridge and matriculate on through college. It is truly important for us to have our kids graduate from college."

over 60,000 Dallas College students have already setup an account to help them transition to a university partner or a job. Like online banking, these new college and work accounts have four basic functions. 

This year more than 21,000 high school seniors in Dallas County will set up an account and own their verified records to help them more effectively and equitably enter college.

Called GreenLight, the ledger gives students access to their credential materials, such as transcripts and recommendation letters, and allows them to apply to multiple colleges and scholarship programs at once, making the process easier and more efficient.

A platform called GreenLight which removes barriers for students—particularly first-generation and low-income students struggling with college enrollment.

“GreenLight puts the power directly in the hands of our students,” UNT Dallas President Bob Mong said. “Students are now just a click away from instantly accessing their transcripts around the clock.
