Rural Promise

A GreenLight-Amarillo College Consortium Service

What is the Rural Promise?

The Amarillo College and GreenLight consortium, which also includes Frank Philips College, Clarendon College, and West Texas A&M University, aims to make it easy for high school students across the Texas Panhandle to submit records to local colleges and universities, streamlining the process of entering college. Colleges and Universities will now receive instant access to verified documents from these students, making it easier for colleges to connect with qualified candidates.

Amarillo College has made a multi-year commitment to invest in covering access to technologies and tools to support this goal for all 59 school districts in Region 16, currently serving more than 100,000 students.

These technologies, developed by GreenLight Credentials, is creating a virtual pipeline from education to the workforce enabling individuals to create a lifelong record of accomplishment. The Enrollment Fast Pass simplifies the enrollment process for students entering colleges thereby giving them the ‘green light’ to control their future.
